call to action

The school year is fast approaching and underway for those schools and districts who return WAY TOO EARLY after summer break. :) I've been working hard over the summer with Sandy Hook Promise and Moms Demand Action, and have been connecting with various schools and districts in and around Sacramento and Placer counties. While I am excited to announce official partnerships with a few schools and districts, my heart is still heavy knowing that I'm not reaching as many as I had hoped. As friends, parents, teachers, community members, I am asking for your help.

At the end of this blog post is a link to a letter to any schools/districts, along with a list of programs that schools can implement AT NO COST to help identify and intervene with struggling youth BEFORE tragedy may strike. If you have the time, energy, ability, and/or desire, please distribute this information to any school leaders, staff members, support staff, district staff, etc. While we can't save the world, we can at least band together to try and make our immediate surroundings more safe for our kids during the 2018-19 school year. Thank you in advance. I am deeply grateful for your help.
